English Saddle PartsThere are many parts to an English saddle. There are those that you readily see, those that are under the flap, and those that are on the underbelly of the saddle. Treeless saddles are absent the tree that is found inside the saddle. It gives the saddle its form or backbone. I ride in a treeless saddle because it gives me the closest contact with my horse other than riding bareback. I might add that my horses have never had sore back problems. When using a treeless saddle the rider must have excellent balance and a firm seat. |
