Horse InsuranceThis link will provide you with a comprehensive article on Horse Insurance: mortality, major medical, loss of use, liability, horse businesses, and speciality policies. It is the best article that I could find on this subject. You may have to join to read their articles, I did. It is free and they are a wonderful resource for anything horse-related. It is my understanding from reading their copyright information in quotes below, that I am allowed to make a link to them, but am not allowed to reprint their article here. "We do not allow reprinting of any of our information on other web sites, although any site is welcome to link to any article on theHorse.com. Reprints are available for print publications only and can be granted on a one-time basis by individual agreement. Please contact the editor of "The Horse," Kimberly S. Brown, at kbrown@theHorse.com or 859/276-6771 to discuss reprints." There are other considerations when choosing you insurance company. You need to know that your insurance company is reputable. You also have to know that your insurance agent will provide you the service needed. Is your agent willing to give you the time you need and answer your questions? Are you provided with material that you understand? Is the coverage you desire spelled out in an understandable way? Are their any hidden language that will negate your insurance claims? Has the agent been in the insurance speciality for a comfortable period of time? Does your agent have any complaints or law suits filed against him/her? What about your insurance carrier? What is the carrier's track record? Check out your insurance carrier: Ambest
