The National Sporting Library & Museum is pleased to invite you to join in the discussion regarding the expansion of Great Meadow and the World Equestrian Games prepatory trials that will take place this July. The President of the Great Meadow Foundation, Robert L. Banner Jr., will be speaking on the additional land purchase, expansion planning underway and the preparation for hosting the (WEG) prepatory trials for the selection of the USET Eventing team for the (WEG) in Normandy 2014.

For 30 years, Great Meadow has been the permanent home of the prestigious Virginia Gold Cup. On July 26-27, Great Meadow will host one of the most significant events for the Land Rover U.S. Eventing Team: the final preparation trials for the top horses and rider combinations who will represent the U.S. at the upcoming Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Normandy, France. Recently, Great Meadow's 200-acre park was nearly doubled in size to develop a world-class facility that can host a variety of USET high performance sport horse disciplines. Together with this newly purchased parcel, Great Meadow will feature a large, all-weather arena, CIC3* cross-country course with irrigated footing. For further information or any questions please contact Zachary Davis at zdavis@nsl.org or 540-687-6542 ext.33.
