Padre Makes History At Devon
Who said that Devon could only be won by a Hanovarian, Oldenburg or Holsteiner? Not just warmbloods can go to Devon. That's right! This year, Padre, an adopted wild Mustang made history. He competed in a 4 year old and older class in the Hand Stallion Division, and won. Devon is the world's premier dressage event and is in its 35th year. It is both national and international drawing competitors from all over the world. Padre competed in a program called Born in the USA which is a class that is special for horses born and bred in the United States. He is a 10 year old Mustang stallion. It was through the Bureau of Land Management that he was adopted. Padre's trainer and owner is Patti Gruber. His home is Wayfarer Farm in Wauconda.
